Sumter County Bird Hunters Association 2/8/20 trial
Pictured is NBHA Hall of Fame inductee John Everett and his winning dog Moehill's Carolina Ruby. The John Everett Field Trial was hosted by Sumter County Bird Hunter Association on February 8. It was a beautiful weekend in Pinewood, SC for the John Everett Field Trial. This trial is named after a gentleman that has been very instrumental to the success of walking field trials in the NBHA and the great state of South Carolina. John has served in leadership roles for the organization and been the head of several field trial clubs. He has hosted countless field trials and been a great leader and mentor to many of us. He is a fierce competitor that has raised and campaigned many championship caliber dogs.

NBHA Central Regional Championship
NBHA Central Regional Championship held at Booneville, AR and hosted by the Westark Field Trial Club announced the following results. Champion Kissamee Grousewoods Tea, PF; owned by Peter LaBella of Hartfork, CT and handled by Garry Malzone of Franklin, NJ. Runner-up Champion Pure Confidence, PM; owned by Tim Cavanaugh of East Hampton, CT and handled by Garry Malzone of Franklin, NJ.

NBHA Trial Cancellations
Due to the CDC recommendations landowners request and State agency regulations the NBHA has cancelled three of its major championships. With the Western Regional scheduled to start on March 20th in Oklahoma. NBHA Open Free-For-All scheduled on March 24th and the Midwest Regional scheduled on March 27 in Missouri, they all have been cancelled. With the threat of Coronavirus and with the increase danger to the public the timing has come when the NBHA is in the middle of its spring trial season. For the health and well-being of our participants, the NBHA would like to thank those for their patience and support.

NBHA National Open Championship Derby results
The Open Derby immediately followed the qualifying one hour braces of the Championship. The Derbies were broken away at the same spot as the hour braces; however, at 30 the brace was picked up and the next brace released to hunt back to the start line.
