2012 Stranger Creek FTC Trial News
The Stranger Creek FTC held our spring NBHA walking trial along the abnormally dry fields adjoining Stranger Creek the last weekend of April. Everything was green, crops were going in the ground and the scenting conditions were tough for the dogs. We had great weather Saturday for the Open Shooting Dog and Derby stakes but Sunday morning brought rain showers throughout. We delayed for about 45 minutes and then started during what proved to be a short break from the wet stuff.

2012 NBHA Northeast Regional Championship
The championship renewal at Pine Island Wildlife Area – Portage, WI – became a reality this year under the National Bird Hunters Association (NBHA). 2012 NBHA at Pheasant Fest
NBHA displayed at Pheasant Fest 2012 put on by Pheasants and Quail Forever on the three day weekend of February 17-19. The booths were open from Friday 1pm-9pm, Saturday from 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. I have not heard an official attendance report yet but on Friday afternoon and most of Saturday, it was hard getting up and down the aisles for the number of folks crowded in. I expect the crowd was in excess of 25,000 for the three days.
