The old phrase," What a difference a day makes" was never truer. On Saturday, the high temperature was maybe 22 and gusty winds all day long. On Sunday when the trial was over, the temperature was in the 60s. Actually the dogs did not mind the 20s as much as the handlers and judges. Day light savings time kicked in, yet everyone still got to the trial on time and we started at the scheduled time.

The NBHA Midwest Regional Championship and companion stakes were held at the Whetstone Creek Conservation Area near Williamsburg, MO on March 18th – 20th. This year we had a smaller than normal entry due to some scheduling conflicts, but the field was made up of many champions and the competition was fierce. Following the conclusion of this Championship a companion Open Derby, Open Puppy, and Amateur Shooting Dog Stakes were held.

2022 NBHA National Open Championship returned to the beautiful grounds of West Tennessee for the 2021-2022 renewal of our National Open Championship. The West Tennessee Field Trial Club has been in existence since the early 1900’s and some of the largest and most storied field trials in history have been run over these grounds. Not to mention a who’s who of field trial royalty that grace the walls of the clubhouse and many times are part of the crowd at happy hour.

This year's Breeders Invitational Championship, Futurity, and Jerry Kilgore Puppy Classic were held on the Sportsman's Association grounds near Grovesprings Mo. We started on Wednesday February 9th and ran through Sunday the 13th. We had a total of 88 entries for all three classes. With the help of the Missouri Bird Hunters and NBHA officers and spouses we had no issues getting through these dogs in a timely manner. The dogs were on the line and ready to go. Birds were planted. Gallery wagon full of spectators. Thank you all.
