January 5, 2002 - September 15, 2011 - Pointer Male
Honky Tonk Gigolo "Woody" is one of the real performing and producing sons of NBHA Hall of Fame, Honky Tonk Attitude. Woody started his career and development under the guidance of Scott Miller and at that time he was owned by Dr. James Simmons and Dr. Stan Wint. Scott and Stan both handled him during his derby season as they had placed him in several NBHA Derby stakes. Woody was a consistent performer and he made his mark at the National level in the NBHA by receiving the RU Championship at the NBHA National Amateur in January of 2005, he would then follow up with winning the NBHA National Amateur Invitational Championship in the fall of 2005. Woody also made a strong showing winning RU in the NBHA National Open Championship in the spring of 2006.
After having a great start to his career in the Midwest, Woody would finish his career in South Carolina under new ownership for John Everett and the Moehill Kennels. Woody would quickly adapt to the piney woods and continue to stack up impressive wins under several different handlers and add even more wins and championships to his pedigree. One of Woody's milestones is winning the NBHA Open Shooting Dog of the Year for 2009-2010 field trial season.
His record shows a total of 33 placements, six NBHA Championships and six runners-up NBHA titles. Honky Tonk Gigolo has a number of winning offspring and his production record will no doubt continue to grow.
