Emert's ShowMe MoTu Named Amateur Champ

The 2023-2024 National Bird Hunters Association National Amateur Championship concluded today at the Wright Family’s Redwood Farm in Covington, Indiana with a total of 38 entries vying for one of the top amateur walking championships in the country.

Making his final bid under the whistle of owner/handler David Cates, Champion Emert’s ShowMe Motu has been crowned this year’s National Amateur Champion. “Tu” not only has won this championship teaming up with Mr Cates one last time, but he will be returning home with breeders Dave and Gail Emert.

The runner-up champion was called by the judges in pointer male Hirollins Gone And Doneit, the ultra consistent walking competitor mainstay for owner/handler Warren Parrot.

Congratulations to all the connections.

This championship however and the hosting duties attached to it have been championed by a true champion of the sport in the form of Keith Wright and and his family at their immaculate Redwood Farm. The thanks due to Keith, his family, and his team is unending and his patronage to the sport and the NBHA is a testament to his passion for field trials and its community.

Further gratitude is due to the judicial duty holders in Mr. Bob Bakas of Winfield, IL and Mr. John Hott of Danville, IL and their precision attentiveness in discerning and crowning this rendition’s placeholders.
