Cypress Church Field Trial Club fall trial results

The Cypress Church FTC held their Fall Field Trial on October 16th and 17th at the Boyd Ranch in Wortham, TX. We were blessed with a great turn out and beautiful Fall weather for the weekend. The NBHA Walking Open Shooting Dog stake had 6 entries, the NBHA walking Derby had 8 dogs and the NBHA Amateur Puppy had 10 dogs drawn. Thanks to Justin Crook cpming all the way from Missouri to participate and support our trial. A large time was had by all and we were entertained Saturday night by Kate Rowan Craig picking and singing with backup on the guitar by Ken Sauer!
Shawn Rowan and Tucker Rowan filled in for the NBHA Open Shooting Dog. Jason Super and Charlie Collier did an excellent job judging the NBHA Open Derby and Kim Hall and Jim Crawford were a welcome addition to judge the NBHA Amateur Puppy stake.
Justin Crook swept the NBHA Open Shooting Dog With three nice dogs. Pineveiw Sally, pointer female owned by Jay Hearnsberger, won first place. Gun’s Pistol Pete, English setter male owned by Colby Tackett, took second place honors. Bolt’s Duramax, pointer male owned by John D. Gaines, brought home third place.
The NBHA Open Walking Derby was won by Grandslams Gunslingin Cruz, english setter male owned and handled by Sammy Davison. KC’s Tye Oneon, pointer male owned and handled by Ken Sauer, won second place. Grandslams Gunslingin Colt, English setter male owned and handled by Sammy Davison, grabbed third place.
The NBHA Amateur Puppy was won by Frank, pointer male owned by Jason Super and masterfully handled by Emerson Super. Mike, French Brittany male owned by Earl Elkins and handled by Garrett Rowan, took second place honors. Cye, pointer male owned and handled by Mark Dunlap, took home third place.
