NBHA National Amateur Invitational Championship

ANNOUNCEMENT:
NBHA National Amateur Invitational Championship � October 31 (See advertisement in the Sept 19, 2009 American Field, page 17)
To all NBHA amateur handlers, the qualifications to run in the NBHA National Amateur Invitational Championship are as follows.
1. Limited to 32 dogs for the running.
2. Point standings are on the NBHA website � IF you feel your dog has been inadvertently left off these standings, please call me to explain situation or where your 2008-09 placements are lacking on the standings.
3. No written invitations are coming out � we are using the electronics available including this website, the American Field announcement and telephone calls/e-mail. My phone numbers are 913-369-8950 (home) and 913-636-5591 (cell). E-mail is [email protected]
4. Now for the important stuff�.the order of qualification which has been the standard in the past and is being modified slightly this year to qualify as many NBHA dogs as possible up to 32. Here is the order:
a. NBHA Amateur Shooting Dogs points 2008-09
b. NBHA Amateur Derby points 2008-09
c. NBHA Open Shooting Dog points by an amateur handler 2008-09
d. NBHA Open Derby points by an amateur handler 2008-09
e. NBHA Shooting Dog or Derby placements from 2007-08 � first come, first served to be placed on standby if the stake is not filled thru a, b, c, and d above. If you want your dog to be placed on standby for the stake based on this qualification, please call or e-mail.
5. Thanks for your support of the NBHA in 2008-2009 and good luck in 2009-2010. The National Amateur Invitational is being contested over Scott Crawford�s Tallgrass Farm near Baldwin City, KS. These are well maintained grounds with pre-released coveys, wild birds and of course planted birds for the one course event. We have secured excellent judges in Mr. Paul Roederer and Mr. Roger Duncan and are looking forward to an excellent renewal. Breakfast and lunch will be available on the grounds courtesy of D&B Catering and a Saturday evening banquet is planned at the Wooden Spoke in Baldwin.
