The 2016 NBHA National Amateur Championship commenced on February 12th. 21 entries were released in the initial series under the watchful eyes of Judges Fred Smith and Mitch Solt. Named champion in this renewal was Winkelman's Little Sugar, pointer female, for handler Mike Duvall. She ran both series driving the front end with multiple finds. R/U was Hobb's Silver Belle, pointer female, for handler Keith Foreman. Belle didn't show her 10 1/2 years by running two nice performances on the ground with her trademark style on multiple birds. A great time was had by all during the running and eating delicious meals in the clubhouse at the end of the day.
