North Missouri Field Trial Assoc.
North Missouri Field Trial Association hosted a National Bird Hunters Association field trial on January 19th at the White Oak Ranch near Edina Mo. North Missouri Field Trial Association would like to recognize two youth participants Jace Holman and Nathan Penn, who were present with their dads to run their puppies in the Open Puppy stake. This was the first time that North Missouri Field Trial Association has held a trial at this location; we were very blessed by having nice weather (50 degrees) in January, and great participation in all of our stakes. We would to say thanks to our judges Dr. John Niebruegge, and Charles Beeler, trial chairs Kevin Western, and Tim Penn, and club secretary Don Hilliard who also provided bird planting duties along with newcomer Cory Huchteman. We don’t want to forget the lunch and snack sticks that were provided by Kevin Western, that chili soup was the best.
There were three different stakes ran and they were, Open Shooting Dog, Open Derby, and Open Puppy.
Winners in the Open Shooting Dog Stake were, 1st place Mississippi Dan PM, owner Dan Martin, Boonville, Mo.; 2nd place Penrosa Knox SM, owner Tim Penn, Edina, Mo.; and 3rd place Lancelot Tall Knight PM, owner Dan Martin, Boonville, Mo.
Winners in the Open Derby Stake were, 1st place Legacy PM, owner Jim Wirths, Boonville, Mo.; 2nd place Penrosa Secret Sis SF, owner Tim Penn, Edina, Mo.; and 3rd place Doc’s Bullet PM, owner John Ruetschi, Cassville, Mo.;
Winners in the Open Puppy Stake were, 1st place Round Table’s Last Knight PM, owner Joe Shearer, Independence, Mo.; 2nd place Carpenter’s Triple Threat SM, owner Larry Carpenter, Clarksburg, Mo.; and 3rd place Foggy Bottom Peach SF, owner Joe Zimmer, Chamois, Mo.
